Accidental power off

I have had several experiences of having the phone turn itself off while in my pocket. I do not employ a password lock screen. Is there a way to configure the phone so it won't turn off like this?

As far as I know, there is no way to reconfigure this.
Now, just to be clear, when you pull the phone out of your pocket, normally, the lockscreen is enabled. You can either click the power button or the home button, to wake the phone. This doesn't work?
