I have a Acer Iconia A100 tablet. I have a few questions about the sd card. I put in my stock 4GB micro sd card from my phone. When I go into Manage Applicatons on the tab and try to move any of my apps to the sd card, it doesnt give me any option to do it. I have just rooted the tablet. How do I get it to where I can move apps to the sd card? Also, I noticed when I get into ES File Explorer to see what files I have, I have noticed 2 apparent sd card places, (/sdcard/, and mnt/external_sd/). Are these two different sd cards?? I dont understand. By taking a brief look, they appear to have the same folders. Should I just be using one of those places? When I have downladed a MP5 file, it downloads into the /mnt/external_sd/ part. Also, one more question, I am going to be getting a bigger sd card, is there a easy way to transfer all the folders from the current sd card to new one, and what is the largest sd card that will work with this tablet?? Thanks for anyone that can give me insight into these questions.

Unfortunately, Honeycomb doesn't have the option to transfer apps to your sd card, so like the rest of us, you're out of luck. As for sd versus external sd, I'm not 100% positive so I'll let someone else more knowledgeable chime in on that. (I think the sd refers to internal memory where extra downloadeable content is stored like when you get a game that requires extra data after the initial install. The external sd is your sd card.) I don't know if it's the easiest way, but to transfer files from one sd card to another, I'd move the files to my computer and then transfer them to my new sd card. I think that the largest sd card you can get is 32 mb.

Yeah sd card refers to internal memory and external sd reefers to the actual card. If you play a lot if games that have extra data to download then since you are rooted download gl to sd from the market. Allows you to mount the gameloft game data to your actual sd card and in the settings of the app you can even mount the Android folder that stores additional app data to your actual sd card instead of storing it in the internal memory. Very handy app.
