Activating on Sprint

So I'm switching over (at least temporarily) from my Note 5 on Sprint. I got my Note 5 from Best Buy and I'm on their "Best Buy One" plan, which is $55 for unlimited data. It's also set up so that I'm leasing the Note 5 and can upgrade after 12 months. As I was trying to activate my 6P on Sprint's website last night I was given a message that I have to change my plan to one that works with my device. And that once I change my plan, I will not be able to change back to my old plan if Sprint no longer sells it, even if I go back to the Note 5. Do I need to contact Best Buy to help me with this? It seems weird that I wouldn't be able to resume the best buy plan I currently have if and when I switch back to the Note

You don't need to change your plan. Just call sprint. I'm not sure but your note 5 sim should just work when you insert it. If not just call.

Turns out this is gonna be a pain in the ***. Per sprint reps, who say they hadn't encountered this before, they don't see how I'd be able to retain my Best Buy One plan. Activating my Nexus 6P would force me into one of Sprint's plans. A major perk of my Best Buy lease plan with the Note is that i can upgrade after 12 months at no charge, which Sprint says I'd likely lose that option.

So then i call Best Buy mobile and they say as long as i come into a best buy mobile location i should be able to activate it and retain the Best Buy mobile plan. Either way, i was hoping to be able to switch back and forth between phones easily on my own, which doesn't appear will be an option. I've attached what I'm seeing from sprint's site. Kind of a bummer. I'm literally contemplating just returning the Nexus now.

Unfortunately both Sprint and Best Buy Mobile have confirmed I would have to change my plan to activate the 6P. Reason being that my Best Buy One plan is exclusively for the Note 5. If Best Buy offered the 6P on a best buy one plan they could switch it, but since they don't, my only option would be to start a new Sprint plan. Which sucks because 1) the Sprint plan for unlimited data is $15/month more, and 2) I'd lose my ability to upgrade at 12 months, which is exclusively a Best Buy deal.

Something else I thought about, does anyone know if the Nexus 6P is able to connect to Sprint's Spark LTE? I know it'll connect to Sprint's regular LTE bands, but I get tremendous signal and data in my area and take full advantage of the Spark LTE on my Note 5. I'm talking download speeds of 50 to 70Mbps. If I'm losing Spark speed, and paying $15 more a month, it might be a deal breaker.
