Hi all,

I'm a newbie on android products! Love this tablet and impressed by it!
When I had it first turned on the tablet, it asked me a lot of question about the registration and I skipped them all. I'm figuring out how to get my $25 Google play credit now and I can't figure out. I registered to the Google wallet account and nothing happens with the credit. I am not sure if I have registered the tablet. Some insight would be appreciated! Thanks all :)

You need to set up gmail and then sign in to the Play Store. In the top right hand corner you will see menu buttons. Hit the menu and the drop down will give you a list of options......one option will should be "Redeem".....hit redeem and it should show your balance.

Edit: Your credit can only be used in the Play Store.

"lot of question about the registration and I skipped them all." first its not a lot of question. second you shouldn't have skipped it because when you login with gmail account you will be automatically credited with the $25.

you wont see it in wallet but when you open playstore and try to buy some app it will give you an option where u can select your credit card or the $25 credit you have. try it out and you will know for sure if you have the credit.

trying wont make any purchase you have to press confirm for purchase so its safe.

Read the fine print. You have to activate a Wallet account with a credit card attached to it.

OP, try reading the included startup guide.

OK, what happens when you purchase multiple Nexus 7s at the same time? (through Google Play) I bought two together; one for myself, another for my daughter. I received the $25 credit for mine ok, but cannot so with hers. What gives? We tried it through my own account, her account, and even created a new account, all to no avail. I cannot believe just how vague the info is, regarding how to activate the $25 credit. Almost like they know that if they make it purposely tricky, some folks will just give up trying? It's now looking highly unlikely that my daughter will be getting her $25 credit. And please, no one suggest that I call or write to Google, as I've been trying that for ages. They do not return emails at all, (even after weeks have passed) and I have been unsuccessful getting in touch with an actual human by phone after countless, lengthy attempts.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks

You probably need to go to settings and do a factory reset. Then go through the setup procedure using a gmail account other than your own.

Keep in mind that you need to do this before the 30th of this month. The free credit ends then, but if you are set up, you have until Sept 2013 to uus
