Activities shortcuts for media

Hello everyone I'm looking for a way (if it's even possible without a widget) to add media shortcuts such as play, pause, next, and previous. Ideally I want shortcuts so I can place them in the apex dock. Just wondering if there's a way anyone knows that will allow me to do that. Thanks for the help

Open the app drawer, click on the "widgets" tab and scroll until you find "Media controler" widget. Upon droping it on your screen it will ask you to assign an activity: play, pause, forward, rewind. You now have a shortcut to that activity, which you can then put it in your dock.
