Ad ball dropping down on home screen

Anyone have a little ad ball that drops down from the top right corner of your phone when you first wake up the screen?

It has various advertisers (not just one) and I have no idea how to stop it. Seems it started since latest update.

Anyone have success with this? Very annoying to say the least

No problem on my phone. Possibly from an app you downloaded?

Thats what I thought originally but doesn't appear to be the case. I shut notifications off on all apps except the few I always needed.

How do I pinpoint that? Are saying one app alone is likely the culprit?

Oh yeah, flashlight! Many third party flashlight apps need an incredible amount of weird permissions and include adware as a bonus.

I may have found something...I have Go Music + and in app permissions for this app, it has a setting that says "draw over other apps" - I turned that toggle off and so far I haven't seen the drop down ball.

GO/GOMO apps are known for pushing ads and mining your data. Maybe you should look for a different music app and uninstall that one.

Why? Now that I figured out the ball drop issue it seems like a very good music app. Is there something I'm missing?

Because that app has code that tries to serve you ads. Whatever. Enjoy your ads.
