adaware on xoom

i keep getting ad ware or spam on my xoom, down in the notification bar on the lower left i get a red and white star and everytime i open it, its for some stupid add. i have run nortan, webroot and others and it cant find it it at all. its not an email spam, but when i open it it takes me to a website or a maket app. how in the heck to i get rid of it?

It is most likely an app you downloaded. Some use air push (I think that is what it is called) for advertising. There is a detector in the market that will help identify the culprit.

Air push should take care of it. I had the same issue and it tracked it to the app and removed it. All's well now..Good Luck!

thanks all. downloaded airpush detector and it found 2 items. hope that works it was getting annoying
