ADB help please

I have downloaded and installed all SDK including USB drivers.
Everything is instaled with the exception of ADB

I am getting an error msg of
Windows was unable to install your ADB

windows could not find driver software for your device.

I point the driver install to usb_driver
and nothing.. help please

Try installing pdanet it should install all the drivers you'll need.

That worked; however, when I get to the mount /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system
I get Read-Only; and my phone is rooted

$ su

What phone do you have and are you trying to root?
