So I created an adb backup of my entire phone prior to unlocking the bootloader and rooting my One (Sprint). I installed Titanium Backup and attempted to restore the adb backup but when I choose the file, all that it does is say that it is analyzing the adb file and just has a spinning circle. I also tried restoring from the command prompt on my computer but when it starts the restore, it freezes when it gets to com.android.providers.contacts

Can anyone help me out with this?

I never heard of that method. Have you did it that way before. Im not so sure you can restore a system dump. Are you pushing the files with adb ?

I just had the same problem.... go to super su, change general permission to "grant", then restore adb from command prompt..... you know, backup.ab

I made a backup using adb, but I never retrieved my photos and music from it, that got me so pissed off because I had all my graduation photos stored in the phone. I still have the backup.ab file, so if anyone knows how to extract it please post some thing here.

Hey, I just had the same problem with the restore freezing when it gets to com.android.providers.contacts - I tried the suggestion from John Budd to change the default access to 'grant' in SuperSu but it's still hanging there. Did you have any luck with this or did you find another solution? Thanks!
