adb setup

i have seen adb mentioned quite a bit however i have not seen any instructions on how to set it up and get started. i would like to learn adb but im not sure where to start. i downloaded addroid sdk and java sdk. installed java but android wont install.

I will look for it but i saw a great tutorial a while back... i had trouble setting up ADB on my computer, so what i had to do was go to my device manager and manually install the ADB to like 3 or 4 devices that were added when the phone is plugged in. Ill search for the tutorial when i have a little more time. if you dont have an answer by then.

Just do a google search for "android sdk tutorial." There are plenty of articles and videos of the step by step process.

yeah, i have seen many on the net. i am just leary about where i get the info. i dont want to get the info off just any place on the net. if no one from AC or xda has one i will just try my luck on the net, but i hoped to get it from here. now that i think about it i may find one i think i can work with and post the link in this thread and see what the folks here think before i try it.

They're all going to be pretty much the same since there's not much variance in it's setup nor is it really something they can lead you down a malicious path with. If you really want I can make up a tutorial when I get some free time.

Hey Gun,

ive been looking for the video that i used, but that was six months ago and they have added tons of SDK videos that i cant find the one i used ill keep looking though.

I would appriciate that, but that's alot to ask, especially if i haven't exausted all other efforts first. I have a friend that will help me get started (i hope) this thursday. If that doesn't work out, and i cant figure it out on my own,i may take you up on that. If i do get it going i will post what i learned for other newbs like me. Thanks again though.
