Add New User...How to UNDO Add New User?

After reading that dianehelen couldn't add a new user, I tried it. Well I CAN add a new user and did...but didn't want to. I haven't set up the new user yet but the system is recognizing
a new user and I can't remove it. The only thing I've tried is to long press the new user in Settings/General/Users.

It should be a thrash icon at the side of the user account and just click to delete the user account. Are you logged in primary user account?

Thanks John, I had to complete the new user sign up before I could delete the new user. Funny, my delete user icon was different and in a different location than yours.
