Hi all. :)

I opened settings and went to cloud and accounts, then in 'My Profile' I went to 'Manage Samsung Account' and then to Security. Under 'Device information it showed 6 devices from previous logins. I logged out of them all apart from the one I'm currently using (my Note 8) and then enabled 2 step verification.

It says "if you sign in from a trusted device 2 step verification will be skipped. But it doesn't tell me how to mark a device as trusted.

Does anyone know how to mark or add a trusted device?

Many thanks in advance. :)

Hi ThrowinRocks. :)

Thank you for posting the link but smart lock is a seperate thing.

You are mixing your Samsung pairing with Google trusted device and 2 step authentication, both of which are different. For what you need, pair the Bluetooth device, during set up, Google will ask you if you want to make it a trusted device. Click yes, you will then need to enter your unlock code. Locate the new device and select.

I'm refering to this area. As you can see, there are no devices listed under trusted devices. I need to add the one device which is currently logged in.... to the trusted devices list.

I hope this helps. :)

The easiest way to do it is forget the device, then repair it and add it as trusted during the setup.

Awesome! That worked. I removed all devices again then logged into my Samsung account from my web browser and the option to add as trusted device was there. Cheers Dano1200r. Much appreciated. :)

And in the phone settings in security (as in the image I posted earlier) it shows 1 device is trusted.
