Added New Memory Card to Eris

I purchased a 16GB memory card to replace the 8GB memory card i had in my Eris my question is do i need to do anything like format the new memory card or am i all set once i put it in and the phone sees the memory card? I notice my contacts and phone numbers were still on the Eris after i put in the new memory card are those saved someplace on the phone and doesn't require any memory card space?

I purchased it on Ebay for $35 dollars seems to be well worth it to store more pictures and music.

The card should be formatted and work out of the package. Just copy your old card's contents to the PC and copy them back to the new card.

Calendar/contacts/messages/call logs are kept in internal memory, even if you're not syncing with Google.

I pulled mine out to look at it and its so small I lost it which is weird since all my pics are on it including (2) of my weener that I sent to my wife. LOL! Maybe I will be famous on the net now.

How in the world did you but a card without knowing the class? It has been said by several other people that their 16gb class 6 cards are MUCH faster at many tasks related to card writing than our stock 8gb c2's.
