Posted before, but forgot to include the screenshot. I have an Android 11 Moto phone with the latest updates
Not clear if this below is a bug or malware. If it is a bug I can't find a reference to it on a quick search. Anyone has any thoughts?
Every time I add a Wifi network it adds a duplicate of the same name (instead of just the one) to my saved networks. [Mod redacted link]
The SSID in the screenshot is not my current SSID (I just used a generic name for a screenshot). I changed the SSID on my router a few times. Every single time (including with my current SSID) when I add a network it automatically creates a duplicate instance like in the screenshot.
I have WiFi autoconnect disabled, only the 1st of the duplicates is ever recognized as connecting via the Android UI when I manually connect. The first one gets the IP address from my DHCP, the duplicate doesn't get an IP.
However by using Android SDK tools (via adb) I noticed that the duplicate Wifi occasionally sends and receives small amount of data (about 100-200 bytes), while I am connected to the real default network - the 1st WiFi entry. The duplicate WiFi network has default network value set to false.
