adding features from other roms

I currently am running a plain rooted version of the stock sense rom. I was recently in the sprint store and was playing with an Epic. i prefer my EVO for several reasons, but one thing i really like about the epic is the horizontal scrolling apps catalog. is there a way to add that to a rom for my EVO?

I want to keep sense. I like many of the features in it. most important of which is the calendar widget, so i have my exchange calendar heads up all time.

the other thing I really like from other builds ive tested is the phne/internet/app bottom icons rather than the half moon thing that sense has.

Any ideas how i can get a sense build and mod these two things?

I don't think you can get the Epic app drawer but the second one is easy, it's just a launcher. Not sure exactly which one you are talking about but it's probably LauncherPro or maybe ADW. You can get them both in the Market. You don't need any special ROM to use them, you can use them if you are completely stock. However, some devs build these launchers into their ROMs. The one I'm using has LauncherPro built in.
