adding file-shortcuts to home screen?

Can anybody explain how can I add files (documents, photos, etc.) from My Files to the Home Screen? I cannot find the Add a Shortcut command...

You might have to install a 3rd party file manager. Try Total Commander, which allows you to create a widget that acts as a shortcut to a specific file.
