Adjusting to the size of a Note 10+ from a Pixel 2

I currently have a Pixel 2 and it is the largest phone I've ever owned. I think it would be pretty easy to adjust to the regular Note 10 because the body of that phone is only slightly larger than the body of the Pixel 2. However, I am a little concerned that the size of the 10+ would be difficult to adjust to -- particularly the width. Also a little concerned that walking around with such a huge phone in my pocket might be annoying.

I'm about 5'11 and have pretty average sized hands. Did most of you have a pretty easy time making the switch to a larger phone? I use my phone primarily for media consumption, so the larger screen would be great for that, but I'd love to hear from anybody who was concerned about the size of the phone but bought one anyways. Thanks.

Edit: I should add, I would not be opposed to using one of those ring things that attaches to the back of the phone. Never used one before so I'd be curious to hear anybody's thoughts about how well those work, too.

Having the ring on the back will make it even more awkward to have the phone in your pocket.

I won't lie. You will feel the phone in your pockets, and it is big. That said, I can never go back to small phones. Tried it with the pixel 3 and was a big no.

You can't have it all. You want big screen for media consumption, you will have to pay with the hassle of carrying around a larger form factor phone.

That said, I love my note 10+. And have no issues while carrying it around, cause I want a bigger sized phones as the benefits overshadow the negatives by a long shot.

Maybe you should look at the Note 10. The screen size (well and everything else), is a major upgrade when compared to the pixel 2.

I went from a Pixel 3 to a Note 10+ - it does take some getting used to but imo it is worth it - start using the phone and keep using it until you are used it.

Suggestion - get a good "holdable" case for it - the phone is a big slippery one - ENJOY!

Go Big!! you will get used to it the more you use it as a daily - Also get a slim case it will help.

It will definitely take some getting used to. The Note 10+ is the tallest phone I've ever used, and the width ties with the widest phone. It's not that difficult to adjust, but I would def suggest being extra careful in the beginning if you are accustomed to using your phone one handed. You may have to adjust the way you usually hold your phones.

Oh, and either get a case with a touch of grip, or be careful getting out of your car if your phone is in your pocket. I can't tell you how many times I've had large phones slip out of my pockets getting out of my car.

It's not as big as you think coming for the pixel 3 to the 10 plus is a big jump but after a day or so you will get use to it. You need to relearn where to carry it so it doesn't fall from your body like don't put it in your top pocket it will fall out very easily.

Just wanted to add you picked a good time and a good phone to go large. In the past the screen size gains weren't as great, but with bezels shrinking you get so much more screen in a body that's more compact.

I mean the Note 10+ has a 6.8 inch screen. Do you guys remember how large 7 inch tablets used to be? Geez.

if you're not using a case I don't think it will feel to big, not with the smaller Note anyway but even the plus I don't think is bad, if you use a case it will feel quite big
