Adroid app update problem

Hi I am running a Galaxy S with Gingerbread 2.3.5. I have two problems
1...I keep on getting the message 'Google Talk authentication failed'.

2...When trying to carry out an update to various apps, that are working fine, i either get the message ' Your device isn't compatible with this item'. or ''could not be downloaded due to to an error. (-101)'

I would be grateful for any info on how to solve these two problems. The apps themselves are still working OK without the updates!!

Hmmm, what i would do next is go to the Android market and clear its cache, same with the applications that you are trying to update but fail. Force stop them and clear their cache and try to update them again.
