Hey everyone. I had to do a factory reset yesterday, and I noticed that I now have ads everywhere, pretty much all my apps are riddled them. Previously I didn't have them, for example, YouTube, ebay will have ads with links mixed into my search results ( I know they have always had them, but I didn't before) and my games now have those ads that say watch this video for free lives, money etc. Is there some setting that I forgot to turn on somewhere?

Sounds pretty normal on YouTube and eBay but check the individual apps for any ability to turn off apps. Games usually have the ads you are referring to.

I'll try that, but I've never had these before in my phone pre factory reset. I'll try and get a screen shot when I come across them again. Thanks for the tip.

Hate to tell you, but those advertisements are pretty standard if you don't have a premium YouTube account. They pay to show you this kinda like on Google search if you search for T-mobile but verizonwireless.com shows up first. Look at the screenshots attached. 1st one is on my non premium account second one is. Same search but one has the ads and one doesn't. thanks for the reply, but pre factory reset I never had these ads. I changed a ton of settings back when I first purchased this phone and I'm pretty sure some of the settings were probably what allowed me to not have all these ads everywhere. I'm just going to give up on this one. Google wins this time.

You look at my suggestion post #14 and 15?

I don't think this is a Google issue. I think it may be related to a preinstalled Samsung app, kind of like the problems with old Peel Remote app. Samsung has also not been above advertising for itself -- I recall seeing something about this in the past, but haven't been able to find the reference yet.
