These ads on this website are getting uncontrollable. It is slowing down the site.

Re: Ads or bad

Thank you for the feedback. We're always fixing/tweaking/updating things to make the site run as fast as possible. If you can give us more specifics as to what is causing the slowdown on your system in particular, we will definitely take it into account!!

Re: Ads or bad

Maybe instead of dozens of ads they could be reduced down to 1/2 dozen??
Having so many ads on a page is just an act of desperation.

Re: Ads or bad

Yeah, which is funny cause your popup about ad-blockers making you said is so ironic, since site like this with horrible intrusive ads make everyone of your readers sad and are why ad-blockers exist, android central is near un-browsable with all the ads, and this site is by far the slowest site I've ever been on due to all the ads.

Re: Ads or bad

There's a very interesting article on Arstechnica about the dangers of ads on even the most trusted web sites. It just firms my belief that I will NEVER EVER run a browser without an ad blocker. Sorry, but the bad guys have brought me to be that way. It's now up to the sites that present ads to clean it up the mess that they've been turning a blind eye too all this time.

Haven't read it but if the gist is that bad actors can hide malicious code in ads, that is true.
