Ads by Twitter - but I have an Alcatel, no boot to safe mode

Hey team, I tried to research before I posted this. I am trying to hang on to my Alcatel Idol4s until the new CAT phone comes out this year.

My file manager has ads. OK, I can deal with that. My photos constantly want me to use Candy...annoying but I can't delete it.

I constantly get Adsbytwitter that pop up. I saw a post with the fix but it said boot to safe mode. Alcatel does not have safe mode as an option.

I want to get rid of this phone but need more time.

Welcome to Android Central! Just to be sure -- this doesn't get you into Safe Mode? How to turn on safe mode on Alcatel Idol 4s

OK thanks. Got to safe mode. Now to find the culprit.
