I am coming from an Apple watch and currently own a Samsung Smartwatch. When I had my Apple watch, it would alert me when my heart rate would go above or fall below a certain range that I could adjust. I cannot seem to find that functionality in my current Samsung watch. It does record the data but does not alert me when it happens.

Another feature with the Apple watch was the ability to record the heart rate every 10 minutes. The Samsung I noticed will read the heart rate if you are sedentary or exercising. There is an option to read it 24/7 but that seems excessive.

Did I purchase the correct device for monitoring my heart rate? Is there something else out there that does it better? I noticed that WearOS seems to have a large number of 3rd party apps like Cardiogram and Heart Trace. With my Apple watch, I used cardiogram and an app called Heart Watch.
