I just ant a stable ROM for my phone. The one I put on about a year ago won't let me install new apps now. Any advice on what new ones that are out are STABLE and worth it?

Thanks.

There is only one thats worth installing. The latest MiRaGe ROM.

Those are the two most stable ROMs for our phones. CAI was made for the Optimus S by theKraven, and has a patch to run on the V. You can find it over on the Optimus S forum.

There is a plentiful second tier of pretty good ROMs. I would include theKraven's PAC ROM (a really good attempt to get JB running on our phones). I'd still be on it if I didn't need bluetooth. Any of the GB roms for our phone are pretty stable, but not as optimized as MiRaGe. I like Gingersnap, Harmonia, Om-mandylion, Jellybread, and BobZhome's ROMs.

It only takes 30 min or so to flash a ROM and set it up like you like it, so I would try a bunch if I were you.

Iho magpie. Has magpie (apps2ext). Its developer has abandoned it, but he's considering updating it soon if he finds time/users who want it

The App2ext script is not for new custom ROM users, it really is not a good idea period as there is no control over where apps go or what apps go where (not recomended to put widget apps on the sd card or even link them to the sd card). Once an app is linked to sd card and it acts goofy, there is no way to move it to the internal storage to straighten it out. Also: It does not allow you to delete bloatware, move bloatware to sd card, or move downloaded apps to system.
An app with all that control can be found in the market (I personally use Link2SD).
Last, but not least, an App2ext script will not allow you to use apps like Link2SD.
