Advice on old phone as media player...

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

I have been using my original Moto X as a media player for vacations and the gym w/o a SIM for quite a while.

Now, I seem to have misplaced it, so I am in the fun position of turning one man's trash into treasure by buying an older used phone.

If you folks were to pick up an INEXPENSIVE phone to use as a poolside and gym media player w/o cellular service, what would your choice be and why?

Go for Samsung galaxy on max. It is good. Even i am using it. It comes with 13 mp front and back cameras, 4GB RAM(32 GB Internal)/3GB Ram(64GB Internal). And it is not having any problems like Heating, battery getting discharged too fast etc.

Why limit yourself to phones?

How about an iPod Touch?

And... I found it. Kind of upset because I was drooling over a v20 just now.
