advice on Text apps

What is a good text app to use on s5, other then stock?
I'd like one with setting, that tells me it was recieved and read.

I was going to suggest Textra until you asked about the received/read status. That's kind of a mystery with Textra.

I'll agree with Textra. As far as received/read status, isn't that a carrier limitation? I believe that I just read that T-Mobile & Verizon have added a beta of this?

Maybe it's not a beta but I read somewhere on here that T-Mobile & Verizon were starting to roll out Advanced Messaging. Doesn't have anything to do with Textra.
