Here's a few pointers I discovered that may or may not be gathered somewhere - I'm hoping someone finds them useful.
In my case, I had trouble flashing SC2 on one of my phones. Well, not actually the flashing, but the restoring all my apps and data afterwards using Titanium Backup.
Here's a few things I did that helped:
1. Right after you flashed your recovery and start it, do a full factory reset and cache wipe inside recovery.
2. Do NOT install more than one ZIP file at a time - only install your ROM, then reboot normally, then go back into recovery if there's more you need to install.
3. Once booted, use Titanium Backup to ONLY recover your Accounts. Then reboot. Then open the Market (aka Google Play Store) and verify that you can download programs! This caused the most issues with me.
4. If you can't download apps in the Market, go into your phone Settings - Applications - All. Find Market and empty all data. Then find Google Framework Services and empty all data. Let your phone sit for 10 minutes (or so I read), and it hopefully will fix the Market issue.
5. Do NOT continue with anything until you have verified that the Market can download apps normally! First one I try is Gmail since SC3 doesn't come with it, so I need it anyway.
6. With any ROM, do NOT simply recover all your system data! Most will not be compatible between ROMs. I do turn on "Migrate System Data" in Titanium Backup which seems to help, but limit your recovery to Accounts, SMS data, TwLauncher and WiFi Access Points. Most everything else will either recover from your Google accounts or can be restored manually (especially your sound settings).
7. Also verify that Gmail works - also had major issues getting that to work.
8. Once everything works, THEN recover all your apps, but be aware that you might not fit all apps into memory if you previously had transferred them into SD Chip memory.
Hopefully this list might help someone else.
