I was going to build one on the Moto site but now I've decided just to grab it at Best Buy. I had a bad experience there twice in mobile from a rather rude employee. So for me naturally I bypassed her and spoke to the general manager and I politely ask that he take over my Moto Z Force purchase. Through the ordeal he offered to give me a substantial discount on the X Pure which I never even ask for anything for free rather I just ask for proper customer service. With his offer to me it's enough to make me want to pick it up today now. How's the the screen size to you guys? I've never had a 5.7 screen. It sounds absolutely huge! Also where would I find a screen protector for the X Pure as best buy doesn't have any. Lastly, does the back come off or can you purchase other colors for the case back on this phone? Any advice before I drop $200 would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance!

I had the MXPE and my wife has the Z Force. The Z Force is better at approximately everything, I'd go that way. Screen protectors can be found on Amazon for either device, just pay attention to the ratings and comments if you're unfamiliar with the brands.

There is nothing wrong with the X Pure, it's a decent device, it's just a year older, quite a bit weaker on the spec sheet and much about it was better executed with the Z :) So IMO the Z Force is a "better" device, but the X Pure was still a fine device to have. The only reason I'm not using it now is that my daughter broke it

I just purchased a 4 week used 32GB Moto X Pure 2015 on Swappa for $240 to take over for my bootlooped LG G4. My G4 is "repaired" but I don't trust LG anymore.

I love the Moto X Pure so far and love the portability (any US Carrier compatible) it affords. I currently have Verizon and I just popped in the SIM from the G$ (after trimming it to Nano-SIM size) and it connected perfectly.

As far as a screen protector goes I chose this one from Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU5345046

I ordered 2 because I am not great at applying them. The first one did not seem to stick well even though I applied it correctly. The second one went on perfectly and you cannot even see it on the phone except for the very edge of the protector. There is no "halo-effect" that is common with the screen curvature on these phones. It is the clearest protector I have had on a phone.

The "size in hand" feels very similar to the size of the LG G4. It is slightly heavier (but feels more solid) and just a hair taller.

I am happy with my decision to get me another 12 - 18 months until the next round of tech advances occur.

I have had the MXPE for almost a year and have had the Force for nine days. The MXPE would make a very nice backup phone, especially if the discount is really great. Otherwise, head to head other than the output of the speakers, there is no comparison.

Love my MXPE, but I wouldn't go for a year old phone if I was doing it again today. It is solid and I think the screen is only .2 bigger than the Z? I and several others had some battery life issues with heating etc. Some days hot, some days not. I'd go for the Z knowing what I know now, but it did serve me well for quite awhile. I actually went for a nice used HTC 10 and My MXPE is now as a backup and runs my Pandora Bose system in the house.
Like the larger size but it does get annoying carrying after awhile. My 5.2" 10 is a good sweet spot for me.

I bought my MXPE 32gb from Best Buy for $249 a few months on a Deal of the Day special... Coming from a 5.0" screen to this wasn't hard at all, except occasionally one-handed use is interesting. It's a good phone and I would recommend it to anyone.
