advise - unlocked or locked?

Contemplating whether to get an unlocked or locked (At&t) s9 plus? I have an unlocked version on hold for me at Best buy. I pre-ordered it in beginning of March. But now At&t is offering 50% off the S9 plus with their next program which is very tempting.

Should I pick up my unlocked version, or go with the locked version? I've always enjoyed the freedom of unlocked. Is there much difference between the 2?

I chose the locked AT&T version because it has WiFi calling.

I also chose the AT&T version for the added features especially wifi calling. And from what I see the unlocked phones have been slow to get updates behind the carrier branded ones. Plus I prefer if I have a issue warranty wise I can take it to the carrier store and have it fixed. For me it works out better.

The problem I have with locked versions is the ridiculous bloatware that's added in. Could you ask Best But if they could remove apps you don't want? Or in your case ask of they could add in feature and apps you want?
