The new ADWLauncher EX is not represented in the thread you mentioned. Personally I think ADWLauncer EX is pretty nice, but I have not used LPP.

I'm using the new EX, it's great. So many good launchers on Android. I could be happy on LP, ADW, or GO.

LP is getting a big update in the next month, should be good.

I purchased and have been using LP+. It's great. When the update rolls out, do I need to pay again for a separate LP?

i cant think of a single thing that lpp does that adw doesnt. lpp's ap drawer sorts the apps in order of install, and adw sorts alphabeticly, if you have a lot of apps this helps a lot. i just went to adw ex. i like it. not sure the extras are worth paying for, but its still a good launcher and i do like it better than the free version. i just cant see paying lpp when adw does for free everything lpp does for money.

a guy in the other thread said something like, do you want me to try and convince you that your favorate color should be blue? you like what you like. for the most part, they are basicly equal.

NOsquid, i notice you are using ex aswell. what do you think? what do you like about it that the free doesnt have? i like the different app drawer styles. i cant figure out how to make the app drawer transparent, so i see my wallpaper instead of black, but i like the 4d style.

I hope LP+'s update tweaks the messaging widgets...hopefully grouping each text by contact like the sense messaging widget instead of showing all texts. Also, an LP mail widget would be awesome!

^Agreed....for my taste of how my phone is setup and looks...its LPP. I here theyre both the same except ADW is a bit laggy...not sure about ADWex....but then again I've spent more time using LPP so wouldn't even know if that's true or not.

Well the screen transitions are the biggest things, will make your iphone friends ooh and aah. They are surprisingly smooth.

I like the custom folder icons, I'm pretty sure I couldn't do that in LP (and I don't want a screen full of regular folders sans custom icons). I'm not sure you can do it in free ADW, hadn't used it in a while. I have one home screen organized in folders, I rarely have to go in my app drawer. I also like the new continuous fling sideways app drawer - much better than iOS style IMO.

GO launcher has that transparent app drawer you want, you can also set a custom background photo for the app drawer. GO is a great launcher, we're spoiled.

i havent noticed any differance in performance between the 2. my phone has almost no lag. i would say the lag has more to do with the overall setup than anything else. but i only tried lpp for the 24 hrs, then returned it.

ADW is faster if anything, has been for a while. They go back and forth, I suspect the next LP will be awesome.

yeah i just found the screen transitions, they are pretty cool. adw had the transparent app drawer. i havent figured it out in ex. thats my only complaint. i dont think the transparent app drawer is a big enough reason to switch to another launcher. as far as the folder in adw free, you could not customize the look, thats why i didnt have any on my home screen. i will give that a look now.
