I'm going from an HTC Incredible to the Charge, and am interested in ADWLauncher or LauncherPro. Is there reason to favor one over the other on the Charge? I used neither on my Incredible.

(Go Launcher > all other launchers) = False

Im just kidding, but I still do prefer LPRO to GO or ADW. I can't wait for the full rewrite to be completed.

I have used go and adw, both are good, you should just try them out and see what you like best. I know one thing, I used launchers on mt OG droid and droid x but didnt on the thunderbolt and one advantage that the launchers have is to save your settings and everything on your home screens or at least the 2 I used did not sure if they all do but defiantly something to look for.

I like both, but I may opt for spb's launcher, its got a lot of features and will look awesome, I just wish it didn't cost so much.

I'm using launcher pro right now... and while I'm STOKED with the features it provides, I've noted some serious lag issues while surfing through the preference menu... anyone else running into this?

Launcherpro has been running lag free for me but I am also rooted as well.

Try this for me...

Go to the preferences page, then to general settings, then to hidden apps.

Getting into the hidden apps pages takes me beyond my screen timeout (which is at 30sec) before the app selection page shows up. Curious if I'm the only one...

does anyone have a video on any launchers running on the Droid Charge? i found one on you tube but it was kinda dark and its only a few seconds long...

I use LauncherPro because it seemed to do what I wanted out of the box, but I've heard good things about the others. If someone can tell me that one is definitely a bit quicker than others though, I'll definitely use that one.

I have a question guys.. I dont mind TouchWiz since I got rid of all the widgets... does anyone know how to change the static icons on the bottom of the screen (applc, phone, messages, contacts)? thanks!

nevermind.. from droid forums:

To change the permanent buttons on the bottom just hit the app menu on the bottom right. Then hit the menu button. Select edit. Now you can long press an icon and drag it to the bottom bar.

I switched from Launcher Pro to Go Launcher EX last night.

For my particular Droid Charge, Go Launcher EX is WAY freakin' faster when scrolling through preference menus. LP ran seamlessly on all other tasks except going into the menu to add a widget to my homescreen and loading the 'hide apps' menu... but those two things were driving me NUTS. I've only had Go Launcher for a few hours now, but I'm impressed with it thus far. In all honesty, it looks and functions nearly identically to LP, based on the little bit of toying I've done with it so far.
