after 4.2.2 update phone wont turn on

I downloaded and installed today the 4.2.2 update for my htc One, came back to it after letting it do its thing and it wont turn on? Hard reset does nothing (vol + power) Anyone else having this issue?

Official OTA came out today in the uk, installed the small patch then the larger 4.2.2 update.

spoke to HTC they advised to do hard reset obviously that wont work, it's been plugged in to power since before my post and no change its dead as dead can be. super disappointed so off to HTC it goes for "repair". Just bad luck I guess.

OK so, i was basically just hitting random buttons hoping something would happen and the phone has turned on and its like nothing ever happened? I have no idea what occurred today but there you go :\

Likely something got stuck, and when you hold down the power button long enough it will reset itself. I went the root, TWRP, S-Off, SuperCID, Flashed the most recent FW/Radio 2.24.401.1 and then updated to 4.2.2 of course having a DE makes things easier. Running stock 4.2.2 now and looking at some of the nice ROM's for 4.2.2.

I likely will get the HTC One Maxx after I see it in person so I am not going the Google Play Edition route where you can now make your phone a full fledged GPe H1 bootloader, RUU, OTA updates and all.

I bet it was so dead it took a while to get enough charge to turn on.
