...and now the App-Famine is over! My dying launch-day Palm Pre got wet Tuesday and started acting funny, so I attempted to dry it out overnight but I think I had my mind set on getting a new phone which explains why I grabbed a Samsung GS2 Epic 4G Touch after 27 months of waiting for the next webOS phone...on Sprint. My wife dumped the Palm loyalty around Christmas time last year, getting an Epic 4G, so I am somewhat familiar with Android. But I am hanging out in the forums learning what I can to get me back to the comfort level that I had with my Pre.

I still have my TouchPad, and will hope to keep webOS on that as long as am satisfied with the OS. And now, back to my research to find a way to webOS-ify Android (especially in the multi-tasking, email-consolidating, and notification-presentation area)...!

my palm pre+ finally died (battery wont charge anymore) and after playing with my dad's galaxy tab it wasn't hard to jump on an acer iconia a100. i love webos, but man, waiting on devices was, as you know, painful. i can only imagine the pain associated with the way sprint customers were dumped on.

I'm a Palm Pre widow myself. Waiting on Sprint to make up their minds on whether or not to pick up the Pre 3 (which I was DYING for) was excrutiating. I'd been having issues with my pre (shocker) so I finally just bit the android bullet and got the Nexus S, love it. Have to relearn how to do everything again on a new platform but the fact that there are SO many more options makes it worth the time. Welcome to your new home. :D

I've used every platform out there and have to say I love Android. I use the palm pre plus on version but love my EVO shift so much more. This site makes it more enjoyable. :)

Thanks for the warm welcome! Its definitely been an EPIC transformation that has destroyed my PREmonitions of Android. It has come a long way since the Eclair that my wife's Epic 4G started out with. It also helps that Android Central has a lot of user-friendly guides to help me get up to speed. Anyways, thanks again and its back to diving into more research to find the best unified email for Gmail, Yahoo and possible Outlook Exchange.
