After Android 11 update, can no longer send/receive texts while on call

I have the S10+ on Verizon and yesterday the new Android 11 update was pushed to my phone. I installed and all seemed fine. Now, i'm noticing I can no longer send/receive texts while I'm on a call. As soon as I hang up, any sent in/outbound texts show up. I use Google Messages for texting (and that is linked to my computer so I can send texts from Chrome as well).

Any way I can get this feature back?

Talk to Verizon. It's may be them.

Verizon says it is a Google Messages issue since Google handles all the SMS/MMS controls.
