after day one update face recognition stopped working

So I was using face recognition to unlock my S8+ but after the update no longer works. I have deleted my scan and rescsnned but it does not help. Ii know iris is More secure but it has never worked for me. Took forever to get it to register and then when I try to use it I get "open eyes wide" no matter how wide I open them.

Anyone else having issues with face recognition or have a fix?

Also issues here with that, I tend to rely on smartlock but I have noticed the same thing when my watch is charging and I am away from it.

Hi, I had the same issue, so I decided to go to Tmobile and have them look into the issue, and they stated that you can only use one feature, either the Iris scanner or face recognition or the other option, you can only use one feature at a time..My problem was solved! I hope this helps!

Well you can use the fingerprint scanner along with either the face recognition or iris scanner so you have 2 options just can't use face and iris.

Have the same issue, read a forum that said it was supposed make it better. Stupid thing stopped working.

Mine didn't completely stop working after the update. Now it's more like hit or miss. I went back to FPS because of it.

The iris scanner does not work as well as it did on the note 7 for me.. and there really isnt a good reason why.

The instructions when you set up face recognition (if you have iris scanner turned on) should tell you that its one or the other, not both.

Right now i am usong the fingerprint, and face, with pattern back up.

Its silly to me to habe to draw the pattern or put in the pin when you restart phone and cant use biometrics.. doesnt that defeat the purpose of the advanced securities?
