After Jelly bean benchmarks are worse?

I know benchmarks don't matter but I thought Samsung may have improved this, on ICS I was getting around 5800-6000 at a push on quadrant but now I have jelly bean I rarely ever get to 5300. Someone with the sprint galaxy s3 has been getting better benchmarks than I get with my phone now which is unusual. Also antutu I use to get 12700ish but now I only get 12000, is there something wrong with my phone because I thought this is all meant to be improved?
