I'll be honest and say I'm having more issues in one week than I had in a year with the HTC One. I want to love this phone but here's what really bugging me:

1) When I dial a number, either by typing the number or selecting it from contacts, it says "call not sent" and I have to send a second time. I have to retype the whole number to try again and it usually goes through a 2nd time, sometimes 3rd. This happens 1 out of 5 calls. Way too annoying for someone who uses their phone all day for work. This happens with the phone's native dialer.

2) I also use the RingCentral phone app for work. Music apps don't always recognize this and when a call comes in the music is still blaring over the call and I have to scramble to open the music app and close it down. Sometimes when on ring central the native dialer calls in with my ringtone blaring during the call. Very very frustrating.

3) Pandora doesn't run with the phone asleep (other threads are related to this). Started using Milk app as alternative which runs in the background great, however the volume keeps fluctuating up and down. What the??!!! I tried high quality music and thought it was struggling to stream or something but it does this on standard quality as well.

4) Standard internet browser sucks and crashes. Started using chrome which should be solid but doesn't render properly to the screen. Writing goes off the edge of the screen and I have to scroll back and forth to reach which is horrible. When I double tap to zoom out and fit the whole page on the screen it zooms out so tiny it's unreadable. Zooming back in and too much of the page is off the screen.

I really want this phone to be great but I'm seriously considering sending it back for an HTC.

With everything described I think you either have a defective unit or some rogue app that is causing at least number 1 & 4, I'd definitely recommend you a factory reset via Recovery Mode and see if after everything you set it up again it works better, if after installing some apps it begins with the same then it may be an app, if it gives you errors even without installing third party apps you should get a replacement.

You'll be surprised by how many apps are not optimized for Lollipop, and is making our batteries tank. I think many people issue is with Facebook and the Messenger app

#2 is causing your #1 issue. Uninstall RingCentral restart and your call not sent problem will disappear. Mine did.
