So it seems the same old problem that has plagued Android phones for eons is still in the Nexus 5x. I get a headphones icon in the upper left corner of the phone after I play music in my car via Bluetooth and it won't go away on its own. Sometimes I can open the Google Play Music app and then immediately close it to make the headphones icon go away but this doesn't always work. When that trick doesn't work, I usually have to reboot the phone.

Anyone else seeing this issue? If so, does anyone have any other ideas on how to handle this nuisance?

When music isn't playing you can just swipe the icon away

This must only happen with Play Music, because I don't see it with Prime Music.

It's a feature - makes it quick and easy to resume a playlist from the notification after a short break in listening/driving. Or you can swipe if you are done. Or you can have your favourite automation app dismiss it for you x minutes after bluetooth disconnect as long as you haven't reconnected in that period.
