after replaceing cracked screen on my m8 phone wont turn on but the screen shows that is chargeing

My htc m8 screen cracked so i decided to replace it and i bought on on ebay (mobiescreen) which was identical to mine, after replacing the screen and following all the steps correctly i put it back together but the screen doesn't turn on unless i put it on charge the charging symbol on the screen appears but i cant power it on. I have tried to reboot it. I know the screen works because it clearly shows the charging symbol but doesn't show the percent of battery.

When you say you tried to reboot it, did it work? To me it sounds like your power button is not working.

my power button clicks and i can feel it also usually when the phone is charging and power off it shows the percentage in the battery but right now it shows a lightning bolt in battery

My M8 power button clicks too but that doesnt mean it always works. I have noticed it works about 80% of the time. Sometimes i have to press hard, others its more pressure on the right side of it, and other times its normal as can be.
Its been a while since i have let mine go dead but isnt the lightening bolt indicator a sign of a dead battery being charged, versus a low battery being charged.
IS the LED blinking red?

The LED is blinking red i have tried several times turning it on also if its powered off and charging it would show the percentage and battery being filled up and mine only has a lightning bolt in it.

I know from experience that when the battery is completely dead and you plug it in the LED will flash RED. Then once its somewhat charged it goes to solid Yellow.
I forget what the indication is for over heated so that may be it, the battery with the lightning bolt thru it. Maybe google it and see what it says.
I know when its flashing red it will not let you turn it on. This is because the battery is too depleted to operate the phone. That red flashing lasts for 5 to 10 minutes. At least when its happened to me it lasts that long.

yeah i left it charging over night and woke up it was warm and still with the same battery and a lighting bolt on the screen with the red LED still blinking
