[AFTER ROOT] Samsung Galaxy S7 Carrier set to "Samsung" ~no data

So I rooted my device and now I do not have access to mobile internet. I noticed my carrier says "Samsung" and not "Sprint". I can still receive calls and texts. i have perfect internet access while on Wi-Fi. other than this I have had no problems (that I'm aware of) with the root. How can i change the carrier back to "sprint"? is there a way besides factory reset or flashing stock rom?
