One of my favorites from Pocketnow. So I'll borrow it.

How do you feel about your current daily driver(s). Love it or hate it, would you stick with it or switch when it's time to upgrade. I'll start with my SAMSUNG Galaxy S10+ Prism White 128GB.

I love it but like I said if it's the updates but the past month or two..

- Connection Issues where I have to toggle Airplane mode.
- Asphalt 9 crashes, no pun intended (lol).
- Punch Hole Display. First I thought it was brilliant but after getting my OnePlus 7 Pro Almond, it's more distraction now.

Last. I wish we can go back to FLAT Display, I blame SAMSUNG for starting this trend.

Now with my OnePlus 7 Pro Almond.

No issues with the phone or apps.

No complaints but wished they stuck with Flat Display and kept the 3.5mm Headphone Jack. I can live with No Wireless Charging and no IP68 rating.

My current phone is the LG V30 from Oct 2017 currently at Android 8.0. I love it.
64 GB + SD card
DAC sound, headphone jack.
Nice 2:1 screen, quite easy on the battery, no notch.
LG's version of Android seems cleaner than Samsung's version based on posts here.
The camera system could be better, but also seems to be a little under-rated.
I do not expect an Android 9 update through AT&T.

Great thread! Thank you so much for sharing! I currently own a Google Pixel 2, since approximately April 15th, 2018. Things I love about it:

- ease of interface/OS
- size
- camera
- Google Keep
- ip68 just in case I need it
- flat screen

Things I don't like:
- can't really think of anything right now! I guess the battery could be bigger but it's so intuitive that the under-3000 mAh doesn't matter!

It's almost 16 months old and so the battery is starting to show some age. Also, it's starting to lag a bit and do some weird things sometimes (saying I have emails/notifications when I don't). I guess the time is slowly approaching for me to upgrade; but for literally the first time since owning a smartphone, I'm having a lot of trouble giving up the awesome OS and camera experience. I like trying new manufacturers with each upgrade and so I want to try Samsung this time... But the Pixel 4, maybe I'll see what that's like before switching. But still. I guess only time will tell.

I am using an S9. I may switch back to LG or go to OnePlus when my phone is paid off in April 2020. I'm not really liking the direction that Samsung is going. Removing the headphone jack and trying to compete too much with Apple by releasing multiple sizes of their flagship phones. Stop making phones thinner and removing features.

They might have to remove the headphone jack to make way for other/better features...at least that is the usual reason (usually to make the battery bigger). As for Apple, they just removed it because they could, and the battery remained pathetically small.

And having a ‘Plus’ version of your flagship is actually a good idea (variation)...especially with 5G versions etc

And remember, Samsung Galaxy phones and iPhones have been competing for over a decade...why do you suddenly take issue with that?

I have an issue with Samsung just taking a page from Apple's playbook just because it's Apple. Not because it's what people want. It's becoming harder for Android consumers to buy what they actually want. We are slowly and slowly losing our choice as to what features we want in a top phone. It's the same problem with Cable companies and why more and more people are getting rid of it. When consumers have limited buying choices, manufacturers can basically sell us anything and we'll buy it because we have no other option. I'm not surprised that that is what is happening. Apple sells phones because there is only one manufacturer and basically one option.
