After using my camera to deposit, it says I'm trying to use 2 apps at a time!

I have been using my bank's app to deposit checks by taking pictures of the checks, using the app. If I make a mistake or try to then use the camera to take a picture outside the app, it will not work. When I restarted the phone, the bank app worked, but it takes over a day for the camera to work again. I just keep getting the information that I am trying to use more than 1 app at a time. I logged off the bank app.
