Alarm clock icon gone in navigation bar after pie update.

Hi:
I have the pie update on my s8.
When I set alarms for the next day, I used to have an icon in the navigation bar reminding me of upcoming alarms.
Am I able to get this back?

You mean up in the status bar on top of the screen?

Which clock app are you using for the alarm? It's not there in the S9 either, but only for the Google clock app. Yet, somehow it will show up if you are within 2 hours of it going off. On the left side, too. More than 2 hours, and no icon.

The Samsung clock app will show it always, and in the right side, at that. At least on the S9. Haven't checked on the S8 (just got the Pie update on it from AT&T two days ago).

I'm using google clock ver 6.1.0.
I'm also not seeing:
the bars for signal strength, 4g, 5g, etc.
the wifi horizontal lines that would show the wifi strength.

Strange. It sounds like some app is hiding all those icons. Are you using any theme? If so, change it back to the default theme and see if it makes any difference.

I figured it out.
I found the settings to show the different icons within good lock. Multiple options to turn them on individually.

I noticed this and it's a little annoying, and I've reported it as a bug to Samsung. As you have said Samsung clock works fine, but Google clock doesn't. Google clock alarm icon not working for:
- good lock not installed
- good lock installed not using quick star
- good lock installed using quick star and with the alarm clock icon ticked in notifications to show.

So how did you exactly get the Google alarm clock icon to show in status bar?

Yeah, I still can't get the Google clock alarm to show either on my S9, so it's the same bug. Good Lock on or off makes no difference. And I'm not using a theme at all.

Correct. The clock icon will show within 2 hrs of alarm time.
But, on my main screen I have a clock widget and below this, the first alarm time is shown.
If I new how to attach a screen shot from phone, I would.

Thanks both. Yes I've noticed it appear within the two hours, though it sits on the left with the notifications and not on the right as in previous versions of Android.

Like I said I've reported this to Samsung, whether it'll get fixed is another thing.

New Google clock update in the play store for me and the good news is that the alarm clock icon is back in the status bar

Try this..open clock..choose any clock function from bottom..open 3 dots at upper rt, choose "about clock"..choose i for information in upper rt corner..choose notifications..toogle on..then you will see notification choices/sounds/etc for each clock function to be selected individually. I have a daily alarm set. The clock alarm icon shows on upper rt side regardless of time.
