alarm clock

Last night I set my phone alarm for 7 am. It went off okay but I couldn't dismiss it. Had to press the power button to put in my pin and it turned off with that action. Pretty sure the last time I used it a year ago it worked properly.

I thought I recall someone else mentioning this problem but couldn't find a post.

This might be an issue with the cache or the RAM usage will be full causing the device to lag, so you can try clearing cache of Alarm App & check the App which might be causing issue, i found the solution here :

In addition to SYTH3R - Reply: You could also perform a Reset
settings to default level. As example I do this task in my SGs7
this way: Settings >Back up & restore >Tap Reset settings
and Tap [RESET SETTINGS] again: This action will
return all the data and apps to its original status
