Alarm issues.

I understand the workaround to fix the alarm so it sounds in Priority Mode. This doesn't fix my issue when I need to manually go silent and then I forget about it.

For example, I was at work last night and used the slider to silent my sound. I left it like that all night and forgot about it. Then I overslept because the alarm never sounded in manual silent mode.

Is there a 3rd party Alarm app that solves this issue where it sounds in any mode?

It's normal and set by default in samsung smartphones.
there are many alarms apps in playstore i recommend Tone Picker to control: calls, alarm...

I'm on Verizon where Lollipop was rolled out recently that has a bug that causes the alarm not to go off in silent mode. Are you telling me that this is the new normal? I never had that problem before in previous OS.
