Android Central Question

I have an LG Stylo 6 and so I have had this problem since Monday. There is two alarms that go off every morning that I didnt set up, and when i look in the clock app i cant find them. One is at 6:30am and the other is at 7:00am, and the only alarm I ever had set up was for 8:30am. But I deleted all my alarms to see if that would fix it but no.

On Sunday, the day before all of this started, i had downloaded a theme for my phone. From the app that comes with the device, SmartWorld. And i thought that maybe the theme was the issue that was causing all of this, so I removed it. But it didnt work!

I've been searching up how to fix this but nothing works or is similar to my issue. I haven't downloaded any reminder apps that put alarms either.

Please help! :(

Welcome to Android Central! When those mystery alarms ring, does the screen look the same as when an alarm you actually set rings? If not, then the alarms are coming from a different app.

Sorry for the late response, I registered now.

Also I noticed that, it only rings on Mondays and Tuesdays?? Its barely Tuesday morning right now and I still have that problem every week.

And yes, when the alarms come up it looks different. Usually there is a little X where you slide, i think. But this one is different. And the icon which tells you the time looks bigger.

But im not sure where it could be coming from??? Or at least WHAT app. When i first got my phone, I downloaded all the apps I ever needed. I don't usually download any things, so that's really strange.

Are your alarms “turning off by themselves off in the middle” of the night how do you know because I am assuming you would be asleep? Or do you mean your “alarms are going off in the middle of the night”? If your alarms are “going off during the night” you will be able to hear your alarm ringing. However if your alarms “keep turning off by themselves in the middle of the night” that means that your morning alarm will not work because, “it has turned itself off during the night” I would be curious to find out which one you mean.

Have you tried safe mode?

Alright I'm trying safe mode right now. But I cant use any apps :(
Honestly I just simply turn off my phone before going to bed. I could keep on doing that everyday, it doesnt bother me too much. But it just really sucks that I have to deal with this problem :")

It turns off 3rd party apps to see if any of them causing this

Ohh, well im not too sure about how to check that.

Im currently on safe mode, what should i look for?

Once you're in Safe Mode, see if these alarms keep going off. You may have to use the phone in Safe Mode for a while (like a whole day) if you can. If the alarms go away, then that suggests that some 3rd party app is causing the problem (rather than the system's own clock app). You'd then have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem goes away -- I realize this can be tedious, but sometimes it's the only way to figure out what's causing the problem.

I figured out what the problem is!!

I was on safe mode but it didnt ring. My brother took my phone this morning and when he took off safe mode there was notifications of the missed alarms. I had already told him about this issue. What he did was CLICK the notification. And it took him straight to the app which causes the problem! It was just another clock app that I NEVER noticed. My phone has two clock apps for some reason. One is the one that came with the phone and there is another one, which I dont remember?? Apparently its a third party app, not one from my phone.

I'm so sorry for even posting this "issue" here!! I just never thought of opening the notification. I always just cleared them.

I'll be deleting that app, and I'll attach a picture of them both here.
(the one with a red circle was the one doing the alarms.

I just find this so strange because there is alarms on that app, which I dont remember putting, at least from the days before this started.

Good detective work! You could look in the Manage Apps menu in the Google Play Store app, and see if you can identify that Clock app in the installation history.
