Album art on Play Music all wrong after system update?

I updated my S7 to get rid of the system update notification. It messed up all the album art on Play Music. I tried deleting all the files on albumthumbs but it just keeps coming back. I just want to know what music I'm listening to. Please help.

Welcome to Android Central! Try going to the App Manager, select Google Play Music, and Clear Cache/Clear Data. Then open it again, let it sign you back in, and wait for the database to refresh.

You might make a note that this will only leave music within Google Play Music that was purchased from Google Play. I followed your advice without thinking it through and will now get to spend several hours re-downloading my Amazon music if I decide to keep using Google Play. I think it will probably be less painful to just switch to Amazon's music player.

Update: I found my music in the Downloads header - I just have to re-add all the songs to their appropriate playlists, so the situation isn't as bad as I first thought.
