Calls still coming through with DND Allow only Starred Contacts. It's annoying and truly renders the DND useless, pointless, redundant. Is there a remedy or is that just how it has to be for this version of Alcatel Phone???

Ok, thanks, I'm registered now I think

ok. so my options on this phone are as follows:
From Anyone | From contacts only | From starred contacts only | Don't allow any calls
I am currently on From Starred Contacts only....Calls continue to ring through only thing is, they are muted (guess the DND works that much)

I did...I sent a reply but for some reason that one said it needed to go to moderator or something

Yet it let these couple of replies come through? interesting

Let me try again to tell you. So all I had available were From Anyone, From contacts only, From starred contacts only and Dont allow any calls. Im currently set on from starred contacts only

still I tried it, I'm using a google voice account to call my phone and the call still comes through. I don't, maybe it's me, I thought the calls were suppose to either be blocked or go to VM

Now that question, I will be quite honest with you. I really, at this point have no clue. I've restored this phone and loaded messages/contacts from Drive twice since having it and I'm not sure if that saves them to the phone or to sd. I'm assuming phone though

In the meantime, I've removed all starred contacts, put the phone back to From Starred contacts only (which there are none) I made a call and the call still came through.

Welcome to Android Central! I made you the owner of the original guest post to make it easier for you to find.

Can you clarify -- when a non-starred contact calls, you're saying that you see the incoming call notification appear, but without a ringtone? And if a starred contact calls, you see the same incoming call notification, but with a ringtone?

Yes, exactly.

I actually never paid attention to what exactly happens if someone calls me when my phone is on Do Not Disturb, so I just tested it on my Pixel 6 Pro. What you're seeing is normal behavior. DND will mute the call, but you can still see the incoming call notification. However, there is a setting where you can choose not to even show the notification. Go to Settings>Sound>Do Not Disturb>Display Options for Hidden Notifications, and select "No visuals or sound from notifications."
