All sounds off but still getting "dings"

Whenever my phone is sitting idle, I will get a tone, it's like 2 quick sounds. All of my notifications are off on my system as well as in my apps. It seems like, it happens when I get an email from yahoo or something (all though I could be wrong) and all notifications are off. How do i get rid of these COMPLETELY. Not just when my volume is off. I cannot be at work and have my phone randomly make sounds like that.


How and where do I need to go in my phone in order to get rid of this. Also, just becasue my ringer volume is iup doesn't mean i should have to deal with random da dings

I don't know what to tell you if you can't narrow down what app it is coming from. You can turn just the notification volume down though if you want ringer volume on. Have you tried that? (when you hit the volume button, press the gear icon for more options). That's all I've got.
