All text messages being also sent to my work email

Well this is new.

S8+, Verizon, using stock text messaging, using Touch Wiz.

For some reason, with the new phone, all of my text messages, are also being sent to my work email!

That work email is not my default. I've checked settings in the text and there is no setting that I can find that shows that it is associated with that email, or any email.

Seriously, this can't be happening, at all.

Has this happened to anyone, text being sent to an email when you send a text to someone, or do you know where I can find a setting?

Not a solution for you right now, but I've noticed that the S8 seems to like duplicates as I'm seeing duplicate notifications. I use text very seldom but did not notice anything then. Would it be possible to change SMS clients, maybe try the Messages+ or install something else for a trial? Might help to pin the problem down.

OK, I found the answer in another post, so I'll leave this here for others.

I think this is the answer. I was just looking in the Text settings, not the email settings.

I don't see it as a choice in my personal email, kinda wish it was a choice to send it.

Work is an exchange account.

Welcome to Android Central! Open your Email app, tap Menu>Settings, select the email account, and then look for a Sync SMS option. Turn that off.
