So, ever since verizon announced the launch day, it's been nothing, But complaints and negativity is all m reading. Let's discuss what your excited to start doing on your S3, let's discuss what features your loving on it so far(for those who have received it) and lets talk about what accessories you looking to get.

I know I can't wait to try out burst mode and best shot. I also can't wait to d/l Chrome and see how much improved its been since I've used it over 4 months ago. I'm also interested in S Voice, because even though I don't want to make out with it (LOL) I would use commands like "set my alarm", "create an event " and "what's the weather going to be like tomorrow"? I've heard some ok things abut s voice, but that's because people want it to do everything.

Accessories wise, I got the white flip case, dock, sgp Nano clear screen protectors and I got the quamix metallic case from Amzer.

My phone will be delivered on Monday.

I'm looking forward to having a better camera and (virtually) zero lag.

I know the camera isn't considered best-of-breed, coming from a DX, it's going to be way better.

There's a good review (and comparison to the HTC One X) on heelsandtech.com

Pretty much sums up my feelings. Chrome is amazing on it. S-voice...haven't even bothered using it, not a big fan of gimmicks like siri/svoice/whatever the JB one is called. I actually (stupidly) rock my phone naked, so no cases or any accessories for me yet, though I would like to pick up one of those usb female adapters so I can plug whatever the heck I want into my phone.

Honestly...you are gonna love it, oh and almost forgot, the camera is amazing, burst shot is pretty good...there is some lag with the flash on but that's to be expected

While I'm incredibly pissed that verizon is screwing its customers over, I'm still looking forward to getting mine("will ship by 7/10") next week since it's still a beast phone :)

This is common with any phones. People not having issues rarely post which is why it seems everything is negative

Coming from a Palm Pre2, I am excited about the wealth of Apps available.
Better camera, with burst mode.
Chrome & Firefox/synced bookmarks.
Bigger screen, fast LTE, More Memory.

Will miss some of WebOS' features, but looking forward to learning Android.

First of all, WELCOME!

I am also a WebOS transplant before I got my Dinc. I missed the cards most of all, but after awhile I got used to it. The plethora of apps, up to date hardware, faster wifi and data speeds, and bigger screen all helped make the transition a lot easier. The support on the two WebOS forums are great but people are also great here, for the most part. ;) I think it does help a lot that so many people have :insert android phone here: that if you have a problem, chances are, someone somewhere already had the problem and has found a solution. I think you'll be very happy with the switch after you get used to not swiping up to minimize apps lol.

.......................................
I can't wait to just have a shiny new toy to mess with. At least for a few months I'll have the latest and greatest lol.

Once upon a time I was a marketing major, the one valueable thing I learned is that people who dislike a product or service will tell 6 people, but that number is less than one when they like something or it performs as expected.

I think it is even more true with something that you spend a decent chunk of change on and use everyday. I never wrote a post about how my Droid X was the best phone ever. Was it, no, but it definately didn't suck.

On the other hand I wrote tons of posts about my tbolt bring the worst poc on the planet. Having gone through 4, I know my first one was probably a real poc. Let me know when the perfect phone is released, I am thinking of opening a swine flying school.

I agree 100% with this. When I had the droid x i rarely visited these forums, but when I had the thunderbolt I was on there all the time trying to see if others had the same issue and how to get them fixed.

This is a solid piece of tech. The most polished bit of Android I've ever used.

The large and vibrant screen is encased in a body that's thinner than what you'd think would be possible. The weight leaves you wondering why the competition weighs so much. Those qualities alone make you feel like your holding a gadget that shouldn't work.

Then you use it. The transitions are seamless, apps spring to life quickly; and hold onto your eyeballs if you load up a game or movie with bright colors. I started up Angry Birds Space and immediately understood what AMOLED is about!

These caliber phones are delivering the promise of Android today. Go get it.

Beautiful screen.
Considerably faster than anything I've owned in the past (Bionic last). That includes my Transformer Prime.
Camera is so fast I've missed that it actually took the shot.
I LOVE all the storage for apps! I got the 32 gig version (26.26 GB available). I also have tons of space for music, pics, videos, and whatever by adding a SD card.
I liked the email and calendar software that Samsung provides.
I like the motion features. Really handy while adding apps to the home page.
I like the ability to add more homepages than 5!
I'm happy that SVTP Wifi Hotspot works without having to root the phone.
2 GB of system RAM! (1.62 GB available)
It seems to be working with more apps than my wife's Galaxy Nexus, but that is probably because they have been updated over the past 6 months to work with ICS.
GPS locks WAY WAY WAY faster than anything I've ever owned. And it seems to pickup in places you would think it could even get a signal.
I installed Firefox and it works GREAT with the device. Plus it supports Flash.

I agree. I got to play with a few in stores and they had a ton of things that people downloaded on them and still transitions and everything were seamless where others would slow down and show serious lag. I am really looking forward to mine coming monday.

Chrome is amazing - best mobile browser I have used to date
Camera is very fast - coming from the dx this might not say much, but i like it
The phone is fast - no lag
LTE is great - averaging 15-20mbps, peaking around 40mbps down.
Screen is beautiful
Battery life for such a large, powerful phone is actually pretty good, though i've only had mine since July 5th, so take that with a grain of salt.

S Voice is terrible (in my experience, it hasn't picked up one thing i say except for offering to google search it, which makes it nothing more than speech-to-text)
TouchWiz is meh.. using something else
The samsung keyboard isn't bad, but it doesn't hold a candle to Swype.
I do wish wi-fi and the screen brightness would have toggle widgets. namely wi-fi, its annoying to disable and re-enable. Also verizon can suck a fat one for locking down the bootloader.

That said, I love the phone and have no interest in sending it back, as the pros outweigh the cons.

Well, I'm coming from a dumb phone, so pretty much anything will be amazing to me at this point.

But, I did a lot of research, and am stoked to get this phone. Can't wait for it to get here.

Coming from a tbolt, which I didn't hate. Yes, I had problems, but for me, the pluses outweighed the minuses. The S III is fantastic with some small reservations. ICS is a great improvement but I'm already looking forward to JB. Mostly because S Voice seems like crap and I want to use the new Google voice commands in JB.

I actually like the camera and burst is really cool. I used my tbolt camera all the time so I'm excited about having a better one. I need to test the battery in the real world before commenting on it but I'm hopeful I won't have to stay near a charging source or buy a bulky extended battery.

One last thing, I am not sure how anyone can bash this screen. I don't care for auto dim but I changed it and all is good.

It's pretty much better than my Galaxy Nexus it replaced in every way - except for the locked bootloader of course.

Love the screen, it's big and bright but doesn't seem to drain the battery much.
GPS is amazing it is surprising how quickly it can get a lock.
Super light for the size - it makes the GN feel heavy
Music/Audio is awesome - blows away the audio chip in the GN. This is a HUGE + for me.
Radios are better than GN

Coming from a Droid X, the difference is a pleasant surprise. The screen brightness is breathtaking! The transitions, aps, etc. all run extremely smooth. Still running stock just to get used to everything.

The camera/video is the best thing about it (for me) so far.

Played with S-Voice and haven't had any issues with it. Does it actually speak?

ETA: It is SO light compared to my Dx. Even though its a tad bigger, it still feels like a natural fit in my hands.

Music quality is phenomenal. And I'm partially deaf in my right ear!
